I finished reading "Love Child" the day before yesterday. Wow. It was not what I had expected. What horrible things people do to good kids with good hearts. Thomas deserved none of what he received. I am hoping your next book is kinder towards him. And I hope that his sister is found alive.... I am still upset over what I read because I know these things happen and we can't protect all of our children. No one or no species should be treated the way those two beautiful children were treated. My God! Then, to be dumped by your surviving "parent" - may his soul burn in hell.

I also wanted to stress that the Tommy character is a strong one. He carries himself well throughout the entire book. It's interesting to see his thought process. He is quite adult for his age. I especially liked him. His sister Greta was a good character as well. She was a charming little girl.

This is my critique as simple as it is. Ana Torres, you are a good writer. Stay with your dreams......... I look forward to reading your next book.

When I got this book, I could not put it down. I got into the story, and felt the emotions of these characters I would highly recommend this book to anyone. AM Torres is a marvelous writer, and am looking forward to her future books!
This book is one of the BEST books ive read in awhile! Heart wrenching but good! Worth every penny (and I'm picky) .... hope a.m. torres writes book 2 soon!
This is a Great Book. I couldn't put it down once i started. There are many exciting moments in it. A few of the characters fit their lifestyles to a tee. Ana wrote it so well that i had wished it was real life and i was a fly on the wall watching it all. I hope there will be a follow up book with the story continuing. Added Comment Ana is a very genuine Author who shows very much expression and excitement in all her writing. Her follow up book "Child no more" is even more intriguing. The want to follow her writing is just amazing to me. I love her poems and cannot wait for that book that will be out soon I hope. She has 2 other books "J And K Christmas" and "J and K Valentine" both books share much Happiness and Emotion.
Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. I was drawn into the life of the main character rooting for him and his sister. Such horrible things they faced! Yet Tommy (the main character) kept such an amazing optimistic attitude. At some points I thought it couldn't get any worse, and it would. The ending left some hope, but also left you longing for the next book to come out to see what happens next!

I'm writing because "Love Child" is one the most emotion filled books that I've ever read. It tells of a brother & younger sister who fight together to stay alive through in comparable odds. This book makes you happy to be alive whatever circumstances you find yourself in.

Ana Torres certainly knows feelings and how to describe them - they appear real to her. This is a master piece which you loose yourself in from beginning to end.
Great story with well developed characters....if you loved V.C. Andrews you will love the Child Series by ANNA TORRES
I need to start off this review with this suggestion When you read this book, make sure that you block off enough time to read it in it's entirety. Because when you pick it up, you won't put it down because you will HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! When you read about the details of Tommy's life, you feel his love for his family. You feel how important the role of being Greta's big brother is. And as you read on, you also feel his pain, his fear, his hunger - his abuse - as though you were going through it right along side of him. You root for him and Greta. You hope that someone, somewhere along the line will step up and step in for them. You can taste his fear. His frustration. His heart break. His mourning. And from page to page and chapter to chapter, you find yourself even more engrossed. You will tear up when you read his struggles. You will be angry along with him. But you will also have your heart race as he helplessly falls in love for the first time... until his life crashes and falls further apart... There are many twists and turns. And Tommy's suffering is painful to read, but you will not be able to put this book down! I am so happy that there is a second book! I can't wait to curl up and read what happens next!
